The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my most recent experience at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The Condition of the Premises : Filthy and Neglected
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was apparent that upkeep was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms suffused the entire bar . Smelling a mixture of urine , a rotting odor and a sickly smell. The serving zone , which should be the focal point of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The toilet was in even worse condition —overflowing , with a shattered handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

As I investigated further , I was alarmed to find reports against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women alleging that he of distributing inappropriate messages . Described as excessively forward and disrespectful , his behavior has created an unwelcoming setting for women who patronize Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often felt more like that of a sweating predator than a friendly owner .
